Update on Janis & Norris Galatas @ WRAMC

The latest email from Janis:

Monday, July 24th, 2006

Hello all....Yancy found us at breakfast this morning...he looks great (but skinny)...I will try to fatten him up some. Martin was there also... (He was promoted to E-5! Hooah!) He will be here a while longer, as his Medical Evaluation Board has not begun. The Washington Post did a story on him and is continuing to follow his recovery and MEB saga. He still has trouble with his hip, and walks with a limp, but otherwise looks great. Norris went to General Surgery, Pre-Op, X-Ray, cardiology, and the lab...it took all day. The ECG came back "abnormal", but they said it was nothing to worry about. Most likely it is from the blood clot in his lung last year they say. He reports to surgery at 5:30 am on the 3rd. The anesthesiologist who talked to us was "Heather" and she spent time at the 86th Combat Support Hospital in Baghdad, but just after Norris was there. She gave me the name of his nurse so I can perhaps find him and talk with him again. We are still putting pieces of the puzzle together...after 15 months. Katrina in Family Assistance said "tell Kevin Kelly hello for me"! so I sent her best wishes to Kelly. The 155th had lots of fans up here.

Norris is catching up on his sleep and that makes me happy. I hope to hear from Stuckey later on tomorrow. Dustin had tests done today to see if he is allergic to some of his medications...he can't seem to keep anything down. I'll let you all know when we find out something...he looks tired. Regina[DeColl] is going to have the baby up here! She is due in November.

Thank you for your prayers and support.
Janis and Norris
