The Search Continues....

Today, I spent the morning hanging out at the Walmart in Snellville, Georgia, along with several other volunteers, handing out flyers to try to find a missing Iraqi War veteran. One month ago, on November 9, 2006, Jason Roark disappeared, apparently without a trace. If I’m remembering correctly, to date there has been NO activity from his bank account, NO cell phone activity, NOTHING. The car he was driving has not even been found yet. It’s like he just “poof!” disappeared into thin air. He has contacted NOBODY, not even his momma, who he ordinarily calls almost every single day. There’s been just… NOTHING. I wrote about Jason recently... you can read my original post HERE.

Fox 5 news was out there at Walmart today for a while ~ they said Jason’s story will broadcast at 6 and 10 tonight… please watch if you can and keep your eyes peeled for the car or better yet, this young soldier. Below is information I snitched from the flyers we were handing out today.

He was last seen at the Gwinnett Inn in the 4100 block of Hwy 78 in Lilburn, on 11/9/06, wearing a white shirt and blue jeans. He was driving a 2001 black Honda Accord, Ga License Plate ASL0280… Someone mentioned they’d learned one of the tail lights may have been busted out, too. A fund has been set up for a reward for information leading to finding Jason at Westside Bank, (770) 445-1855, ext. 301.

The police officer investigating this case is Officer Restrepo with the Gwinnett County Police Department – 770-513-5347.

Please keep yer eyes peeled, and keep this family in your prayers… they are heartbroken and worried frantic…. His 27th birthday will be Monday, and it will be a very hard day for all.
