~The Gift~

Look what was waiting for me when I got home! A surprise! :) (Off-topic note: If you click on this pic, you will be able to see a couple of the burns I got on my neck at work the other day pretty good. ) Actually, I knew "what" the gift was was, but I had never seen it.

So, what is it, you might ask. :) Well, a while back, "The Outlaw's" sister emailed me. Over the year of Outlaw's deployment and the months since he's been home, she has become a dear and treasured friend. She said she was in the process of making a doll for me - crocheting the dress herself, putting the doll together and decorating/accessorizing it herself. All this by hand - even though I know for a fact she has arthritis and this type of work is slow and painstaking for her. To say I was dumbstruck and humbled beyond words is an understatement!!!!!!!!

Well, today my doll arrived... the note Outlaw Sister enclosed said she named her "Constance." I think it fits her perfectly. Constance is goregous and the crochet work is flawless. She has a place of honor in my living room (well above kid-reach, haha) for all to see. :)
