Getting ready...

Well, AuntyBrat and I are both gearing up for our assigned days of fasting as participants in the Rolling Victory Fast. You can find out more about it - and sign up for it - by clicking HERE.

Here's a snippet from the Tanker Brothers' blog:

Okay, here's the deal: In light of the stupid "Rolling Fast" Stunt that the Crazy Hollywood Left and Code Pinko have come up with, we here at the Tanker Brothers have decided to come up with our own version: "The 2006 Tanker Brothers Rolling Victory Fast!"
But we need your help: pledge to fast for one day. Just one single day to show your support for those of us who would stand in Crazy Cindy's way. Support us like this: we're proposing a "Rolling Fast", Hollywood Style. I'll kick it off: I will pledge to fast for the first day (we'll kick this off on Sunday, 9 July 2006), and hand it off to someone, Sean Penn-style.
This has been going strong for a solid month now. AuntyBrat's assigned day is TOMORROW, August 12, 2006. Beginning at 12:00 a.m. on August 12, and until 12:00 a.m., August 13, AuntyBrat will bravely fast -- NOT EATING A THING -- to show her support for our Troops. I know for a fact that as her day progresses, she will be making may interesting, witty, thought-provoking and amusing posts here on our blog. I have a feeling there just might be a surprise or two in store for us - so please make sure to STAY TUNED to this blog tomorrow!
The day I have chosen for my fast is Tuesday, August 15. Admittedly, I am very nervous about it. Truth be told, I'm an absolute WIMP and (as my rather large clothing sizes confirm) I am quite fond of food. :-/ In the past, I've managed to semi-fast by skipping one meal - ONE! for the purpose of doing the whole "prayer & fasting" thing about certain issues, etc. Those occaisions have been EXTREMELY rare - like maybe, two times in my whole life I can think of, ever. And missing that one meal made me highly miserable, not to mention ravenous. So, I'm nervous about it. But - I'm sure gonna do my "bestest" because it is in support of our troops. Not that they'll even know about it, of course. Kinda like those "Support our troops" magnets on cars -- nifty little things to have, but the guys in the desert 10,000 miles away can't see 'em! It's just symbolic... a counter-protest, I suppose. Good grief...did I just become an activist?! :-o Horrors. ;-)

Anyway, that's all for now, folks. Stay tuned to this blog for tomorrow's Brat Antics! I promise you will be entertained! ;-)

P.S. --- DO NOT FORGET TO EMAIL IN YOUR BIRTHDAY WISHES FOR OUR RECENTLY-RETURNED ADOPTED HERO!!!! I AM COLLECTING HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES UNTIL 6:00 TONIGHT. PLEASE SEND YOUR BIRTHDAY GREETINGS TO HAPPY_BIRTHDAY_HERO@YAHOO.COM. THANKS!
