Hello everyone! Just thought I'd remind everyone that there is still time to send in an email Christmas greeting for me to send to the units of my dear deployed "soldier babies!"
The response to this campaign has been overwhelming. I have several hundred cards at home already; Vicki G in Illinois, God bless her, is mailing me over 600 more tonight! woohoo! You rock! Thanks a trillion, Vicki ~ and everyone else who has been participating!!!!!! You all have done something that will make a very real difference in the life of deployed soldiers...this will mean so much to them!
So, on that note...if you havent' been able to send in real cards, you may write up a Christmas/holiday message and send it to this address: Christmas_4_troops@yahoo.com ~ I will print out several copies of these email messages and ship them along with the real cards. Every bit helps and it will mean the world to these guys and gals out there! :-)

UPDATE ~ Well, here it is, Thanksgiving day. I've been collecting Christmas cards and emails all month long. I finally got around to counting them all last night, and right now in my bedroom, I have no less than 1,200 christmas cards and emails!
HOWEVER ~ that ain't all! I got an email from a friend of mine in Chicago, and she mailed out to me yesterday a little over 600 more. That would be SIX HUNDRED more! *faints* Plus, thanks to the article my local newspaper ran, I'm going to collect about 50 more tomorrow (yeah, very UNDER-whelming response to the article, dang it...but thank god for what i did get!). Plus, a friend in Mississippi said she sent several out to me Wednesday. I'm expecting "some" more from friends in Missouri and one here in GA, though I don't know for sure they'll come thru, haven't heard from them in a while.
Anyway, the ultimate tally will be OVER 1,800 (one thousand, eight hundred!!!!!!!) CHRISTMAS CARDS!!!! I will of coures post the final amount when i have them all in. :) woohoo!!!!!!
