Very Worried and Sad!

OK, so, I subscribe to the Department of Defense "notification" list -- anytime there is a casualty, I get the official press release. I signed up for that so I would know if anything happened to one of my soldiers.

Just now, I get this in my email from the D.O.D.:

-- An 89th Military Police Brigade soldier died yesterday of wounds suffered after an improvised explosive device exploded next to his vehicle north of Baghdad.

I have a soldier with the 89th MP Brigade... and am worried sick. Even if my soldier is OK, someone from his unit is not... and it breaks my heart. :(

Crud... gotta get back to work.
