HEARTS FOR HEROES - Valentine's Card Campaign

Hello everyone!!!! Well, it's that time again... Christmas is over, and my "Christmas in Iraq" campaign to collect Christmas cards for our troops was a smashing success!!! I collected well over **2,300** Christmas cards, which were divided among four different platoons in Iraq!!! Way to go y'all, awesome job!!!!! Well, since the Christmas campaign went so well, and I had so much fun with it, and most importantly of all, it REALLY REALLY meant a lot to the troops and made a REAL DIFFERENCE to them, I thought we could do something for Valentine's Day and chase away the "after Christmas blues!!!" Below is the information and guidelines regarding this campaign. I would greatly appreciate it if y'all could forward this info on to anyone and everyone you think might be interested in participating.. and those of you with blogs, could I pretty please impose on y'all to consider posting this for me??? IT'S FOR THE TROOPS!!!! :-) I also have available a flyer as a Word document, in case you'd like to print it out and distribute/post it somewhere in your areas. If you'd like one, just ask!

All Valentine's cards collected are going to my local Heroes, Georgia's National Guard 48th Brigade Combat Team.

If y'all have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me! Thanks so much, everyone!!!! Information is below! :-)

Heart For Heroes

Let's show our troops we love and support them! For the entire month of January, I will be collecting Valentine's cards to send to troops stationed in Iraq. **All cards gathered will go to Georgia's National Guard 48th BCT** If you wish to participate, please send cards to this address:

Kat O.
"Hearts for Heroes"
740 Thompson Lane
Loganville, GA 30052

You may also send a e-mail of support to the following email address: hearts_4_heroes@yahoo.com Any e-mail received to this e-mail account will be printed and mailed, together with the Valentine's cards. If you have any questions about this campaign, please e-mail me at Jeffskat@gmail.com.

The cards can be handmade or store-bought... for that matter, they don't even have to be cards; a hand -written letter is just as wonderful! Let's all band together and overwhelm our heroes with support and chase away those "after Christmas blues!"

**ALL CARDS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN SATURDAY, JANUARY 28, 2006

Thank you so much for having a heart for our heroes !

**IMPORTANT NOTE: This is not a "dating service" of any type. Please do not send suggestive or otherwise inappropriate cards or pictures. I will be reading and screening every Card received to ensure that the above guidelines are adhered to (please don't seal the envelopes, by the way ~ that will make it much easier on me)! Any card deemed inappropriate will not be sent! Remember: This is strictly to let the troops know that we love them, we are proud of them and that we HAVE NOT FORGOTTEN them!
