A Tangible Way to "SUPPORT THE TROOPS"

Ever wanted to do more than put a yellow ribbon on your car? Well, here's your chance! Also, here are a couple more links that give you an opportunity to really get involved in suporting our troops: Adopt-A-Platoon, Angels 'n Camouflage, and Operation Quiet Comfort. Once I figure out how to post links on here, these will have there own special spot on my blog.

Anyway, here is the info about adopting these soldiers, who, incidently, are in a very intense, high-combat zone. Do what you can ~ they need us!!! (and yes, I've adopted one already!)

If there is anyone among us who is looking to adopt more troops at this time, here is another worthwhile venture to obtain an adoptee with the 150th Combat Engineers. PJ currently has 500 troops to find homes for and has teamed up with Sgt. Chris Missick.
More information can be found at his website http://www.webofsupport.com/ .

PJ's Corner: Adopt a Soldier Today PJ Degross and Chris Missick met for the first time on July 17, 2005 after more than a year of friendship fostered through Chris' milblog at missick.com. Their friendship began when PJ, looking for an outlet to show deployed soldiers how much Americans were behind them, found Chris through his site and began sending care packages, banners, letters all while rallying Carson City, Nevada to the cause of supporting America\'s fighting forces. Having fostered the idea of the Web of Support, bringing people together for the purpose of supporting troops, PJ contacted Janis Galatas, another friend Chris had made through his blog. Through Janis and her brave husband, SFC Norris Galatas, PJ has undertaken the task of adopting the 150th Combat Engineers out of Meridian, Mississippi to ensure that they know the American people are behind them! There has been a seperate category created on the website http://www.webofsupport.com/ to help you keep track of the progress. PJ is making in this crucial area. You can follow along and we urge you to participate by adopting a soldier! It's simple, Don't wait, our soldiers need you! Contact PJ directly if you are interested in adopting a Combat Engineer PJDAHLING@aol.com To read more about the 150th, visit their website at http://www.dixiesappers.org/

Another good way is to donate vast amounts of money to me and send as many iPods as Best Buy has in stock to my home. That's pretty tangible and I'd be happy too!!

OK, tell ya what ~ once I win the lottery, I will personally donate an iPod to you, LOL!!!!

Your odds of actually getting a iPod from me, according to official Georgia Lottery odds, are something like 1:2,795,473.
